The Bach Stradivarius trombone 85-year tradition has been in bands and orchestras around the world for decades. Today, The Artisan Trombone Collection,takes the Bach Stradivarius trombone to the next level. With an intense focus on precision, The Artisan Trombone Collection offers superior performance. The result is endless possibilities for even the most discriminating artist.
The Artisan Trombone Collection features three distinct valve options, three main tuning slide options, three bell options and three hand slide options. All are interchangeable and many have never been available on the Bach Stradivarius trombone before. The Artisan Trombone Collection provides innovative combinations for artists to own the trombone that fulfills their needs.
The Artisan Trombone Collection will consist of three standard models that incorporate the most popular features from the options listed above. A fourth, custom configurable model, will also be available to allow artists to choose the options that are best suited for them. All models are outfitted in elegant cases that combine classic Vincent Bach styling, contemporary materials and exceptional design.
The Artisan Trombone Collection – Standard Models
A47I – Infinity (axial-flow) model, yellow brass, hand-hammered Artisan bell with flat rim and soldered steel wire, reverse main tuning slide with yellow brass crook, .547 bore hand slide with yellow brass outside tubes and bottom crook, patented adjustable lever system.
A47MLR – “La Rosa” model, open wrap “F” attachment, yellow brass, hand-hammered Artisan bell with flat rim and soldered steel wire, reverse main tuning slide with gold brass crook, .547 bore hand slide with yellow brass outside tubes and bottom crook. Developed in cooperation with Massimo La Rosa.
A47 – Straight trombone (no valve), standard yellow brass gooseneck, yellow brass, hand-hammered Artisan bell with flat rim and soldered steel wire, reverse main tuning slide with yellow brass crook, .547 bore hand slide with yellow brass outside tubes and bottom crook.

Development, acoustic design and testing of The Artisan Trombone Collection was aided by Bach artist Massimo La Rosa, Principal Trombone with The Cleveland Orchestra.
